The technological world is in the middle of a mass transition in which the new realities are being sketched and the old ones are gradually fading from the landscape. It’s bringing a dawn of a new era where the possibilities are limitless and where the magic happens, in real life. Where you can live the fiction by not only feeling it but also by touching and interacting with it with all the sensations involved. That unrealistically realistic world is not only possible – it’s already here.
If you haven’t guessed already – yes, we’re talking about Metaverse. And with having tech expert and award-winning serial entrepreneur Patrick Parker by our side, it’s going to be an interesting conversation.
Young, enthusiastic, and a passionate computer technologist, Patrick has spent a substantial part of his life in developing products, establishing online businesses, scaling various ventures or consulting, and giving valuable advice to aspiring tech entrepreneurs and learners. He is currently known as an expert in SAAS and blockchain technology, and in other subjects pertaining to information technology.
Patrick’s quality is he has an impressive clarity of mind about things concerning his interests. Recently, Metaverse has occupied a part of his interests, and Patrick, as always, has some unique observations on that.
“Metaverse is a very real phenomenon,” says Patrick. “The simplest way I could describe it is that it’s an internet we can live on. In the Metaverse, a virtual reality version of you can exist where you can live a life similar to our real life. Metaverse even allows us to indulge in our daily life activities – you can date, buy and sell real estate and pretty much anything else,” he further added.
The Sims can be the best example to understand Metaverse. The only difference is, you are the Sim in Metaverse that can be accessed via VR or AR headset.
“It’s going to change everything if you think about it. The real business is already happening in the Metaverse. Facebook is selling virtual outfits. People are buying real estate properties, businesses are going on sale, virtual concert tickets are available to buy and enjoy live concerts and parties, and business meetings are now taking place over virtual space, in Metaverse – what else is called change,” wonders Patrick.
According to him, the future seems bright for Metaverse. Though gradually, companies have started adopting at least some space in the Metaverse as part of their future marketing campaigns. Augmented reality is providing creative opportunities to businesses to enhance their ad campaigns and sooner or later, businesses have to make the most of this digital space.
As far as possibilities are concerned, they are immense. Think of a Facebook in Metaverse, or Tinder – that’s the online socializing revolution right there. Metaverse also enables us to relive past historical events like WWI or WWII experienced in real life or the reenactment of the first landing on the moon. That’s exciting, right?
But wait till Patrick tells you this.
“Thanks to Metaverse, long-distance relationships have been given a helping hand. Couples in such relationships lack intimacy and the pain of being far away, but maybe not anymore,” says Patrick. “The new technology uses something known as ultrasonic transducers, which are added to virtual reality headsets. That means the technology can apparently stimulate touch and replicate the feeling of lips touching… or maybe more, who knows,” Patrick ends smiling.
Apparently, he prefers romance in a traditional way. But if you are searching for a whole new world of intimacy, adventures, and amusements, Metaverse is your go-to place!
