Knowing one’s true potential gives one unimaginable power. There’s a very fine line that lies between what one can and cannot do, and having knowledge of capabilities and shortcomings is what can shape one’s life. The aforementioned line then blurs, and there’s no stopping one from harnessing the power of their full potential.
Mo Shaikh, a well-reputed entrepreneur and an influencer, is an impeccable example of erasing the word ‘limit’ from his life and living it to the best of his capabilities.
He was born into a financially unstable family of immigrants. While his parents strived to provide for the family, Mo and his siblings helped them with their bills. Though he worked a number of small jobs while studying, he has always been ambitious and always wanted more from his life. This ambition pivoted Mo towards working in business over attaining a college education.
His starting days in business were expectedly a bit of a struggle, but when he truly got the taste of it, he couldn’t help but get going. Mo would often think about opening his own shop one day. However, rather than opening a new one, he ended up buying his owner’s shop using all his savings. In retrospect, he believes that was the turning point of his life, after which there was no going back.
An ecstatic Mo shared how “Entrepreneurship empowered me in inexplicable ways. No doubt there were times when I had my back against the wall, but I loved the adventure that running businesses actually is!”
Starting from the cellular business he bought, Mo established himself as a well-versed figure in the business world when he included real estate in his list of investments. According to Mo, he had a deeply entrenched interest in real estate but argued that one needs sound capital to ‘make moves happen’ in that niche.
Therefore, when Mo’s cellular retail business, Cell ER, began to flourish, he strode toward real estate and founded French Bulldog Builders. Now we know his choice of name is surely intriguing, but there’s a story behind it. A story that will elaborate on how successful people like Mo make difficult decisions such as naming a business seem so tireless.
Mo is a dog-lover through and through and has been so since childhood. He even opened a dog breeding business, calling it his own ‘big kennel’. However, owing to his special love for bulldogs, he renamed the business to ‘FrenchBabyBullz’ – a name that would forever be associated with Mo and reflects his adoration for man’s best friends.
To summarize everything, Mo’s journey and success have taught us the following things: nothing is impossible if you think it’s possible; to think big and win big; to never stifle our passions, and that life is too beautiful to waste it dithering over what to name your business!
